Supporting people leaving prison & families

Community Chaplaincy Prison Resettlement

Khidmah Organisation along with its partners are leading a community chaplaincy resettlement project in Leicester.

The Straight Path Resettlement Project Leicester (SPR) support prisoners upon release, former prisoners and families affected through imprisonment and supporting them in the community.

We are members and governed by the Community Chaplaincy Association.  Community chaplaincies work alongside prisoners, former prisoners and their families, offering mentoring and holistic support within prison, through the gates and out in the community.

Faith and spirituality flourishes within the prison and we continue this for them in the community.

The project works with families affected through imprisonment by a trained female Family Support worker specialising in supporting families and culturally sensitive to BAME communities.
